Space

Corey and I decided to define a space in a location where we practiced our first shoot-out last week in the skybridge of Hunter College. Not only that the composition of the colors and the movement within the scene (space) is unique, but we’re drawn to the place that makes us want to go back and discover. In this case, explore. Many Hunter students take for granted when passing by and thinking “it’s just another bridge to get to my class”, others sit down in the ventilation, and few actually stop and appreciate the view they get to witness which not everyone in New York can do so. But when we actually stop in the bridge and look to the windows at a certain angle… we get an entirely different perspective of how we see New York City. Last week when we’re shooting this specific shot, I mentioned to Corey that it looks so much like ‘Lost in Translation’, and I love that film! Particularly, our shot was similar with the film where there's a car scene. If we can capture that same moment again… it would be a shot we’re willing to witness again. A space we’re willing to search again. 

Concept Title: People From Above 

Location: Skybridge between Hunter East and Hunter West

Setup: 

• Place the camera on the vents of the skybridge
• Capture different angles of people and cars traveling below 
• Ideally should have roughly 8-10 different shots which will be edited together
• Want each shot to blend together seamlessly, but different shot selection present
